Last summer on stage at @‌szigetofficial in Budapest, I said “People seeking asylum don’t leave everything behind. They carry their talents, their skills, and their dreams with them.” Today, on Human Rights Day, I’m reflecting on how much my work with @‌refugees has taught me about hope and resilience. Refugees I’ve met around the world—from Europe to Africa to Central America—remind me that creating safety and belonging is not just necessary, it’s possible. Let’s keep building a world where everyone forced to flee can find safety, opportunities and #HopeAwayFromHome #RefugeesWelcome #HumanRightsDay
