This is for my girls who’ve spent years hating their arms 👇🏻I think it’s because we’ve grown up in a bullshit world of stick thin arms that we’re conditioned to believe that anything other than that is wrong. My arms have always been my biggest insecurity. From keratosis pilaris, to them being the wrong shape to what I believed they should be, it’s been a life long journey of covering, choosing the perfectly angled photo, and making sure they are mostly never out. On Saturday, I had two dress options. One was safe. Big voluminous sleeves that give me all the disguise that makes me feel comfortable. And one, as you can see from above, meant arms out entirely. And I’m not saying in any way that me choosing a fancy dress with my arms out is some kind of life altering, nobel prize winning decision. But what I am saying is that it’s in these choices we make, time and time again, to go against the voice in our head that tells us we’re not good enough, that our bodies don’t look quite right to do something, that we’ll be judged, or we’ll judge ourselves, that progress towards peace with your body is made. I’m concerned of the return of stick thin celebrities on our red carpets. And what that does to how we feel about ourselves. So here’s some strong arms gracing your feed. Because my god I wish I’d seen this when I was growing up. For context, I love both photos. Entirely. But I’m being honest about the first thought that crossed my mind before I was able to challenge that age old narrative that I’ve had ingrained in to me. So no, I’m not suggesting one is better than the other. But I’m hoping this resonates with anyone else who’s felt the same 💪🏻

I am so guilty of being a breakfast repeater. And whilst that’s fine when I’m busy, on the weekends I have a little more time to enjoy making something different. I love a Shakshouka, and adding in lentils is a great way to boost protein, fibre and plant diversity. Adding in herbs and spices also contribute to this too, so for a quick one pan dish, this one is a great choice. Simply add your olive oil to a pan and add onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, and lentil. Then pour over chopped tomatoes.Create small wells for the eggs and then either leave them to slowly poach, or pop under the grill to speed things up. Serve topped with coriander, and dig in with a toasted slice of sourdough.Enjoy ❤️ 🍳

I am a big fan of optimising your performance, and electrolytes can be one way to do that. Ad. Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium play a critical role in regulating nerve and muscle function, maintain fluid balance, and support optimal hydration levels. During exercise, in hot weather, and if we generally sweat a lot we can need to replace these. Some people also find that regardless of exercise exertion, they benefit from including electrolytes in their day to day routine, and my personal choice is to have my @ancientandbrave True Hydration sachet every morning. Studies show that electrolyte supplementation can improve endurance in prolonged exercise (e.g., Casa et al., 2000) and enhance recovery post-workout. So, if you’re training hard, sweating a lot, or feeling fatigued, adding electrolytes to your water might be just the boost you need ????

I genuinely can’t believe Holland & Barrett chose me as their fitness expert for their first ever retreat. Ad. It was such an honour, and look it was for good cause too as they’ve just launched the most amazing sports nutrition range that I need you to have on your radar this January. During the retreat we learnt about the ethos behind the range, with clinically studied ingredients to bring benefits to support performance, focus & recovery. After we had enjoyed TriActive Pre-Workout, which has been developed for sports with clinically studied slow-release caffeine ingredient zumXR, I took them through a signature workout featuring mobility, strength, stretching and breath work drawing upon the mind, body, muscle theme. We know that refuelling post workout is crucial too, so we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring TriActive Performance Whey, which contains essential minerals like magnesium, zinc, plus clinically studied ingredient HydrocurcTM.ALICE20 is now live for 20% off H&B across the next 2 weeks so you can try the products with a great discount, and this is valid until the 31st**T&Cs Apply

I know that for many of you, eating eggs in the morning isn’t a vibe. And that’s okay. You can still opt for a protein rich breakfast without it being savoury, so I thought I’d share three of my go to options with relevant protein content. 1. Protein pancakes. 1 whole banana 20g oats 1 scoop protein powder 2 whole eggs Mix all ingredients and then top with a scoop of Greek yogurt and some fruit of your choice. 2. Carrot cake overnight oats. 40g oats 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1/2 carrot, grated 1tbsp raisins CinnamonA pinch of powdered ginger Milk to achieve your desired consistency Mix all ingredients and leave in the fridge overnight before topping with optional orange ring, extra raisins and chopped walnuts. 3. Greek yogurt bowl. 200g Greek yogurt Blueberries 1/2 banana, chopped 1tbsp flaxseed 1tbsp granola A drizzle of honey Make sure you hit save to get your breakfast inspo next time you need it. Let’s make my Mum’s famous red cabbage, whilst talking about the Made In Stainless Clad Pans you need to add to your kitchenware collection. AdTheir premium 5-ply stainless steel material is what sets it apart from other pans. The 5 layers allow for superior heat retention, even heating and ease of heat control, whilst the handles are designed to stay cool whilst you cook. And they’re incredibly robust too, tolerating up to 800 degrees of heat. And for the ultimate seal of approval, they are used by professional chefs in the worlds best kitchens, including three Michelin Star Restaurants like Chicago’s Alinea and New York’s Le Bernardin. Check out the stainless steel fry pans and Made In’s other cookware by using the link in my bio to save on your order, and find the recipe below ????????Braised red cabbage with apples and prunes ???? 1 red cabbage (900g typical weight)450g onions, finely chopped450g Bramley apples, peeled, cored and chopped small2 tbsp white wine vinegar3 tbsp prune juice3 tbsp brown sugar1 clove garlic, finely grated1/4 to 1/2 tsp whole nutmeg, freshly grated1/4 heaped tsp ground cinnamon1/4 tsp ground cloves120g prunes (optional)20g butterSalt & pepperPre heat the oven to 150C (fan) 180C (regular).Carefully remove the stalk end of your cabbage by cutting up to 1cm off the bottom. AD | Last week I joined my faves at @biokult_uk to launch their brand new product - the 3-in-1 Biotic Blend Gummies. As a brand who’ve been in the gut health space for over 30 years, they have extensive research behind this new product release, which is designed to be your all in one gut health choice to slot in to your routine. For the launch, we partnered with Frame to share the importance of movement in our gut health. The product comes in three different options: kids, teens and adults, so there is something for everyone, and I’ve been using them for the last few months. You can find the product now through BioKult and I hope you enjoy this little round up of the brilliant launch event ????
