14 States in 14 days.For those of you who have been following along @carriekeagan and I did a cross country trip from California to NY for her birthday.We rented a brand new @chevrolet Tahoe and hit the road.The first day was amazing, just music blaring and the bad jokes rolling. Our first stop was Monument Valley, It was a great place to christen our journey….we got to sleep in a TIPI! Our hosts name was Aaron he was so welcoming and hospitable, he was telling us a little bit about himself and his land. His land overlooks the entire valley which at sunset is pretty much one of the most gorgeous things you’d ever witness….or so you’d think. We wake up the following morning at 5:30 so we can get on the road. We get about 15 minutes down the road and we realize that the entire valley is behind us, we pull over and watch the sunrise illuminate the valley floor and these amazing monoliths. Maybe it was the lack of sleep or maybe it was just the sheer overwhelming amount of beauty that made us just stare and laugh and continue to shake our heads in disbelief on the absolute beauty we were witnessing.STAY TUNED for the next post!

#MonumentValley, the first stop on my birthday roadtrip across the country with Moonshine and @el3errolcolandro While we were standing staring off into the distance, a truck drove up playing native music. It was a local woman from the Navajo Nation coming to set up shop to sell her handmade jewelry. We helped her get her tables laid out while she told us about her family that lives just under the shadow of the monuments for the last century. She raises sheep and lives in a small cabin with solar power and hauled water. I asked, “Wow, does this view ever get old?” She responded with a coy smile, “yes.”
