In the precious time we had together this Christmas. We Barely took any photographs. We are normally camera snappy all day! Initially I proclaimed to Tom- “there’s hardly any photos! I’m gutted.” But then I realised it’s because we were ‘in’ EVERY single moment - Present. Whilst photos are indeed precious- Presence…That is worth more than a million photos. Capturing images with my heart. We managed a physical picture in front of the tree before the kids ran off to play with more toys (as it should be) and a handful of other bits! Video - my beautiful children and incredible hubby waiting for me to arrive home Christmas Eve ????????????Pic 2 I hadn’t realised Tom took this pic last week, but I’m glad he did…in the lead up to Christmas my mother gave me the most precious gift. Knowing how much I’ve missed my family this year. She wrote me a letter, and sent a small gift box. Inside the box is a Christmas decoration my grandfather had as a child, a small white bell with a candle on top- precious to him - he kept it all these years and passed it to my mother before his death a few years back. My beautiful mother - Knowing that I pray to my Grandfather most days - especially in times of self doubt or struggle , sent this precious family heirloom. Letting me know she shared my belief that my grandad IS with me every day and would be incredibly proud of me. It’s the most precious Christmas gift I’ve ever received. The day it was given to me I’d been asking my Grandad for strength and healing. This was his sign. I am So grateful. It really is the smallest things. I couldn’t give a flying fudge about an insanely expensive handbag or new pair of shoes. The most precious gifts are the most humble , love filled offerings . A cuddle, a hug, a pre-loved item from someone you cherish/cherished dearly. That’s is the greatest of wealths. I hope you all had a special Christmas filled with mindfulness, love and laughter. Tell people you love them every single chance you have. God bless xxx

Christmas dreamings with my girl. The lights. The magic. The snuggles. The love. So blessed ????????????

We went to see ‘Gran-Gran’ after baby ballet the other day. It’s one our favourite things to do. I turn my phone off for a couple of hours and watch them play. Listening to sea-shells is one of their special activities . They both love the sea. We dressed up teddy, ate Bakewell tarts and listened to my Grans poetry (she has hand written an entire books-worth and it’s incredible- determined to get it published for her) An artist (mainly oil paintings) and a poet… imparting her love and knowledge to little Iris. So blessed to have you here Grandma Jean. She tells me all the time that one of the greatest sadnesses in life is ‘wasted talent’- she has fought to elevate each and everyone of us, even on days of doubt. I hope Iris inhabits your passion and zest for life ????????????????Had to share these beautiful, precious pictures. Family really is everything ????
