I remember exactly where I was when I was told Lasty wasn’t in the world anymore. 💔I was on a plane that had just landed from London into LA. I fell to my knees. Later that night I drove to this view point on Mulholland and just cried. Shouted. I talked to him for hours. I went back to LA this year just before my surgery in May / June for 48 hours. I went to the same view point to say hello to him. You will always be where the lights don’t stop shining and moving, my big bro 🫀🫂God I miss ya. 7 years in just over 2 weeks. Crazy. I performed at the pre record of the Royal Variety 2 nights ago at the Royal Albert Hall. I wanted to take a second to explain my outfit and the meaning behind it.... (If you have seen it in the press or not) The song I am singing is called “I’ll never know why” a very personal and special song I wrote about one of my closest friends who 7 years ago this December took his life. Some of you will know who I’m talking about and for those who don’t. His name was Dave but people called him Lasty. He was my security for many years and my big brother.... A huge reason I survived a very amazing but crazy time in my life when I first experienced fame was because of him. After every show he would say “you got a hoodie?”And we would take a walk. For my mental health and his too. To get some fresh air and just talk the day over.Man I miss those walks and talks. So I didn’t wear a gown or a tight fancy dress. I wore an over sized tracksuit in honour of him with“You got a hoodie?”Lasty x embroidered on the back.And I love you on the hood that you couldn’t see but I knew it was there. I also wore it torepresent the people at home watching the show in sweats, on the sofa feeling lost and alone. I know that’s what I throw on when I leel low.I feel you I see you I love you and we want you here.I hope this song can support anyone who has experienced the loss of someone in anyway. Grief is a horrible lonelyjourney and I know music can be a holding hand always.I also pray this song canremind those who feel like no one cares or loves them that we do.We really do.I can’t imagine how lonely and hard it must feel to not want to be in the world anymore. But I am hugging you and sending you the love and light you deserve to feel and hope you catch it and hold onto it. 🫀🫂

Remember ages ago I did a call out on instagram stories needing a content and creative person. Well I tried a few and then @mitchperyer came up to me on the street while I was in fact editing (on splice lol) and said “Hi I’m Mitch I do content” 😂 Not exactly that but along those lines… The next day the person we had booked couldn’t make it. So I took a risk and booked @mitchperyer and he has made everything for and with me since. So this is a shout out to you @mitchperyer for working so hard and joining the crew so close to release and just being down for all my mental ideas. This being one of them. Before I went to stage in 🇧🇷 in September we ran H.A.P.P.Y acoustic for the first time to see if I should do it on stage. Instead I ended up playing the recorded album version. Probably because my whistle needs some work 🥴😂👀So thought I would share this. 💚💛💙
