What a couple of weekends at @spherevegas with @deadandcompany. It’s hard to explain the connections that take place at these shows. From Thursday afternoon to late Saturday night, we all meet up in the same dream, have the best times imaginable with 17,000 of our friends, and then…we all crash out on couches on Sunday, somehow still connected by what we experienced. There’s nothing like this. Can’t wait for next liftoff on April 17… huge thanks to @treatment_studio for upping the content game *again*. And there’s more to come… 💀🌹⚡️

I’ve been working with @ernieball over the past few years to create a new series of acoustic guitar strings, and today they’re being released at @thenammshow. The new Earthwood Bell Bronze series is a redesigned take on a classic - inspired by alloys used for bells and cymbals - and I absolutely love them. They’re especially great for songwriting, where every bit of tone counts in sounding like a record from the very beginning. I also had a blast designing the packaging with my good friend and longtime collaborator @deansnuts. Give them a spin when they’re released in April.

It’s an honor to be in a position to help a cause as important as rebuilding lives and communities that were devastated by wildfires. I’ll be performing live next to one of my musical heroes, Dave Matthews at @fireaidla, and will also be broadcasting the concert on @lifewithjohnmayer on @siriusxm. ♥️

2024 was a very special one. A year of big firsts, each of them creatively expansive and extremely rewarding. I’ll be breaking ground on recording a new album in about a week. I didn’t expect this far down the line to still feel so engaged and inspired. Thank you for the opportunity to keep it all going in the ways that excite and inspire me the most. May you have a safe, healthy, and surprisingly great 2025.

It’s hard to explain just how precious ideas can be to an artist. You’d have to be a songwriter to know that a fragment of a melody or harmonic motif can travel with you for decades, like a trusted friend. A melody only for the maker. I suppose you’d also have to be an artist to ask to hear one, as I did on “How’s Life,” my new interview series on @siriusxm @lifewithjohnmayer with my first guest, @billyjoel. What followed is an act of generosity that we should all be immensely grateful to experience. Thank you Billy for your trust, and for sharing something truly rare and special with us.
