It’s been nearly a decade since I’ve done an event in Tampa 🥹Looking forward to hosting the red carpet for @luxefashionfest tomorrow night at @tampamuseumofart 🤗If you are not familiar with the event, come check it out and make some new friends 🤗Now more than ever, it’s so important that we all make an effort to support local and independent business! So excited to be celebrating my birthday while raising funds for a good cause with my @delilahmiami family! Nearly three years of motherhood and I still find myself starring at her in disbelief. How did I come to be so blessed? 🥹 What an honor to have the opportunity to show her the world- to experience the simplest joys of life, like flying a kite or trying sushi for the first time again through her eyes. They say God gives you a daughter when you have a mother wound that needs healing. I understand with great brevity why that is now. I have learned so much about myself, love, patience & grace through the responsibility of motherhood that could never have been learned via the pages of a book or endless therapy sessions. The greatest gift of all, however, has been my faith restored! Never again will I doubt God &his plans for me. I am in a transitional season right now and for once, i’m not in a rush to make a blue print and figure out what’s next right away. I trust that what’s meant for me will find me, that it will be beautiful & exactly what I need in the momentwether I understand why at first or not 🙏🏼❤️ #motherhood #faith #miami #family #beachday

I distinctly remember spending my entire Christmas Eve & a majority of my Christmas working last year. When my mom tried to knock some sense into me and tell me to stop taking calls and be present, I was slightly annoyed and replied that I was “working to provide a better life for our family”. My greatest lesson in life this year, and perhaps one of the top lessons I’ve learned on this journey I’ve had overall, is that time, health & loved ones are the most precious gifts God can give us. Everything else is secondary. My daughter doesn’t care about what kind of house we live in, she will only remember these early days if I am around and present enough to make them special for her. The toy motorcycle and the rides at the fair are cool, but snuggling with me on the couch and having my attention when she wants to show me what Santa brought her means so much more. Finding balance has always been a difficult task for me. I coined the term Never Not Working & lived that mantra until I was so burnt out and under appreciated that I had no choice but to focus inward. I am so grateful for the ways God has pushed me this year. The past 6 months have been an ongoing journey of me peeling back the layers, examining who I am as a woman, mother, daughter & friend. Who am I when I’m not working? What makes me happy? What does friendship mean to me? Who are my friends when my work is not a contributing factor? I finally got to quiet the noise. No weed, no alcohol, less excessive travel.More cooking, writing, reading, grounding. I am not where I want to be yet, but I am so proud of how far I’ve come.The best gifts I’ve given myself this year are time & grace.I pray that if you are reading this, you’re having a beautiful holiday and extend that same gift to yourself & your loved ones. I promised myself I’d only work on events of my own this year but one brand I’ll always work with is @anonlychild !! So proud of my friends & the amazing work they have done to build a luxury brand that utilizes preexisting fabrics to create timeless pieces that are both comfortable yet elegant, telling a story of the past while painting a picture of what the future of fashion can look and feel like. This is the one Basel event that is never pretentious or hectic and always a breath of fresh air. A place where everyone can take time to catch up with one another over a family style dinner while enjoying carefully curated entertainment & company. A big thank you to @tresgeneracionestequila for being such an incredible partner & allowing us the ability to bring this vision to life for a second year in a row - cheers to many more to come! ????
