For Advani, the instinct to choose feeling over formula has been a constant. “It has always been how I approach work. If I connect with the story and the people, I don’t think beyond that.”Vishnu Vardhan, who directed her in Shershaah (2021), saw her portrayal of Dimple become the film’s emotional core. For him, it was her intuitive grasp of nuance that stood out. “She can catch the mood and what is required of her role instantly and give you ten times more and it is very rare,” he says. In moments of grief and longing, she brought depth even “with the smallest nuances that extended beyond what was written on the page”.Across these collaborations, a pattern can be seen.
