For Lenny Kravitz, success isn’t measured in trophies or tours. It’s rooted in the act of creation.“Success is just doing the work. It’s making the art,” he tells Robb Report in our October Success Issue, reflecting on a life spent shaping not only the sound of modern rock but a creative world entirely his own.He’s been guided by that instinct since his first SoHo loft—when he couldn’t afford much but painted the walls by hand and filled the space with snakes, lizards, and sound. That tiny apartment became the cradle of Let Love Rule, the debut LP that launched a career now three decades deep.Music was only the beginning. Kravitz’s creative life extends across mediums, from the stage to Kravitz Design, his studio behind projects for Dom Pérignon, Leica, and CB2. “Just like music, we let the space tell us what to do,” he says.These days, he divides his time between Paris and Eleuthera, the Bahamian island he calls home. There, he tends to fruit trees, rides horses, and runs a free dental clinic for locals.
