Today we lost a true visionary. A man of few words, but of immense action. His passion was unwavering, his precision unmatched from the way he cut cloth to the way he assembled colors, from how he envisioned us models head to toe, down to the last strand of hair. Giorgio Armani was a perfectionist in the truest sense I had the great honor of working with him and knowing him in the early part of my career. To witness him at work was to watch a master at his craft. he did not allow us to alter a detail not our hair, not our lip color everything had to remain as he envisioned it. He didn’t believe in the word “supermodel,” reminding us instead that we were simply numbers, 58, 59, 60. That lesson taught me never to believe in the hype, but to focus on embodying his vision when I walked in his clothes.I will never forget when he closed down New York in 90’s for four days straight each day more extraordinary than the last, with performances , from Eric Clapton to the Fugees. Attendance from , Robert. De Niro . Michelle Pfeiffer . All of Hollywood. It was unforgettable, and I don’t think the fashion world has ever witnessed anything like it since .I remember first arriving in Milan in 1987 and seeing his name on a huge billboard across Linate Milan airport shining above the city. That same sign still greets you the moment you land. till this day . Giorgio Armani was not only an institution in Italy, but also a gift to the world. With grace, elegance, and an eye that never missed a beat, he shaped generations.Giorgio, you will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to your family, your loved ones, your team, and to everyone who had the privilege of working alongside you. It was an honor to walk for you, and I learned so much simply by being in your presence.May you rest in heavenly peace. 🕊️❤️🕊️🙏🏾

When I was 14 years old, I remember Bethann Hardison @bethannhardison coming to visit my mother and I at our home in London. I pointed to the television and said to them both, “I want to do that show one day. I want to be on The Cosby Show. When I get to New York, I’m going to be on that showAt the time, I never truly believed I would even get to New York let alone step foot on the set of The Cosby Show, which was filmed at Astoria Studios in Queens.With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to Malcolm-Jamal Warner. On the show, I played a college friend, and off the screen, we were all part of an institution that shaped a generation.
