I was having a conversation with @hitrecordjoe and he suggested we make a video about it. I was even hesitant to post because my [Black] job happens to acting and there is often hostility around people like me expressing political opinions on these platforms. But I am also the granddaughter of immigrants, was raised in a single parent (and income) household who struggled at times to afford groceries, was the first person in my immediate family to buy a home and represent a demographic most affected by issues like maternal mortality. For all these reasons and more, this election is so meaningful to me and I feel I personally understand why it is for so many people others. While I understand how some may feel uninspired or unrepresented; Government can only represent the perspectives of the people who participate. I personally feel this election is not one to sit out, and because of how dangerous I believe one candidate is, there was only one choice for me.
