Is this the weirdest egg?! 🥚🐣🌊With Easter upon us eggs are on our minds! @Vicknhope headed to Plymouth Sound exploring the weird and wonderful world of skate and shark eggs! Jemma Watkins filmed a baby spotted ray hatching, as part of a project engaging the public about this beautiful species of skate living just off our coast 😍 🌊Discarded eggcases from both skates and sharks can be found washed up on our UK beaches, sometimes called ‘mermaids purses’ they are a great way to help scientists identify species living off our coasts.
